Emerging onto the country music scene as a singer-songwriter, Iyla Elise’s relatable lyrics and melancholy melodies bring a genuine perspective grounded in her humble, country roots. Her songs draw on many musical influences from across numerous genres including John Denver, Vince Gill, Billy Joel, and Stevie Wonder to name a few. Her debut EP, Outlier, is out now on all major music streaming platforms. The songs on the EP are a sample collection written across the span of fifteen years. Her very first, full composition ever written at the age of 14, “Dreamland”, is featured on the EP. “Outlier” (the title track of the EP), “Another Beginning” and “Hindsight” were written most recently in 2022 and inspired by special but sometimes heartbreaking moments. The EP’s title track, “Outlier”, was recently recognized on Turnip Music Radio and Derringer Discoveries, a music adventure podcast on Spotify, and voted to #2 on their Top 25 monthly chart in November 2023. The podcast has listeners in over 30 countries and has more than 50,000 downloads.
